On Sunday, July 7, 2024, Emmaus Baptist Church joyously welcomed our newly elected Pastor, Rev. Steve Kendell, and First Lady Eunice Kendell. The pastor search committee diligently pursued a shepherd for our congregation for almost two years. We were blessed with an extraordinary interim pastor who recognized our trials and graciously offered to be considered for the Pastor position. When the congregation received this news, Rev. Kendell was met with a standing ovation, resounding applause, and palpable excitement. God has answered our prayers for a shepherd to lead His flock. The Pastor ordination service for Rev. Kendell will be forthcoming—Standby for the date.
